12 Oct 2002 – A car bomb exploded outside the Sari club disco in Denpasar Bali. It killed 202 people and wounded 300 more. Two suspects were later arrested and convicted Iman Samudra who had trained in Afghanistan with al-Qaeda and suspected of belonging to JI was sentenced to death on 10 September 2003.
